DinoGuards

Some people have guard dogs. We're a bit different around here. We have our own line of DINOGUARDS.

They're lined up and their commander is so confident he doesn't even have to watch.

Try to cross if you dare.

Our Lil' Chef

For the past two weeks Evan has become obsessed with cooking. He is our Lil' Chef. We found an old apron of mine that when tied appropriately fits around him great. It is HIS apron. At even a mention of making breakfast/dinner he runs as fast as he can saying "Evan cook too!" It is awesome!

Picking out a peach for a Sunday dinner fruit salad.

Learning to pit a cherry.

Fruit salad complete.

Next:

Saturday morning pancakes with Dad. Curious George style of course with added blueberries!

Evan we love your desire to cook. You are learning so much about food and where it comes from. We love your creativeness. Keep it up big boy!

Listen Up

Listen up you Evil one. Lucifer. Liar. Accuser. Beast. Deceiver. Enemy. Father of Lies. Roaring Lion. Power of darknes. Serpent of old. Tempter. Thief. Wicked one.

Listen to what I have to say. I have had enough. I have had enough of YOU. It's come to my knowledge this week and weeks past of your feedings on my friends - my family. Yes I said FAMILY. You see, we Christians, we are one family of believers. We are children of God the Father. Of the Almighty. Adonai. Elohim. Jehovah. Alpha. Author of Life. Bread of life. Bright morning start. Chief shepherd. Christ. Creator. Deliverer. Everlasting. Holy One. Immanuel. King of kings. Lawgiver. Leader. Master. Messiah. Omega. Prince of Peace. Rabonni. Savior. Shield. Teacher of truth and light.

We are a family, and when you mess with one of us, YOU MESS WITH ALL OF US. It doesn't matter how far apart we are from each other. It doesn't matter if we all even know each other. Our father knows us and strengthens us to fight against you. We stand together. We pray together. WE FIGHT TOGETHER.

You offend me. To think that you can just be a worm and feed here and there and not be noticed. You are darkness. Darkness will always be seen by the light. Light will ALWAYS win! My armor is on and you cannot destroy it. My God is full of more strength than you will ever have and he fights for his children. Be afraid evil one. Run. Flee. Do you see the chariots coming for you? Do you hear our batttle cries? Your side just took a major blow. You've messed with the wrong people. I may be a small woman, but my heart is solid and I am filled with the Holy Spririt. Release your grip. You've lost!

Lauritzen Gardens one of our early summah adventures

Welcome to the Garden:

On the tram with Grandma Cathy. On our way to the rose garden.

So beautiful!

Smells of heaven.

Of course there was plenty of time spent at the model train garden.

Evan enthralled with the trains going by, totally oblivious to the train above his head.

Sandhill Cranes

I love me some poppies! Such happy flowers.

And then an awesome sight of a large hawk being followed by a smaller bird.

They just soared through the sky so peacefully.

The lilly pond was full of frogs large and small. and large beautiful pads.

Hard to see but there is a fatty frog croaking in the reeds.

The day wouldn't be complete without spotting a wild turkey roaming around.

Ending our day back on the tram.

If you have never made a visit to Lauritzen Gardens it is a magical and relaxing place. We have been a few times and enjoy it more each time we go. Thank you Grandma Cathy for a wonderful day. Sorry it took so long to get our pictures up! We love you so very much!
